In the Gospel of Mathew, we’re told that Jesus tells his disciples to “go into the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Since the 1800’s, The Brethren Church has been doing just that. Through international relief efforts, as well as starting and sustaining churches worldwide, Brethren churches and people span the globe. We call our missional partners outside of the United States and Canada “Global Partners.”
South Africa
A new church is up and running in South Africa! In the last few months, your partners launched new ministries in the Lower Waterfall area of Durbin and other regions. God is definitely at work through the Brethren Church in South Africa!

Reasons for Celebration!

Although the last couple of years have been tough for your new partners, God continues to provide relief and develop pathways within the many communities to bring healing and transformation of lives and hearts.

several pastors have launched new ministries throughout the Durbin area. Sandile reports that nine pastors are ready for ordination, including Sandile himself, and at least as many new pastoral leaders are in the process. Praise God!
​
history will be made in the spring of 2024 when our South African partners ordain their first elders!
​
Hopefully, many of you will have had the opportunity to meet Sandile, his wife Abby, and their children during the summer months at General Conference in Michigan.
​
While God continues to do incredible things through the faith and ministry of these servants, there is still much more to be done. New churches are preparing to be planted, and unique opportunities for the kingdom to transform lives continue to arrive daily! Keep praying for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit!
