![]() Mission Statement & Core Values Mission Statement "Introducing people to Christ, together becoming completely committed Christians." Core Values In order to accomplish the above mission, we must commit ourselves to living out the following core values: Consistent and Persistent Prayer We believe no spiritually significant progress will take place in our lives as individuals, as a community and in the world apart from prayer. (Mark 1:35; Luke 6:12; 11:1-13; Ephesians 1:15-23) Life Transformation We believe that spiritual growth is a life-long process that takes place in the context of intentional loving relationships where people can both know and be known at a deep level. Each of us needs people in our lives to support, encourage, challenge and hold us accountable. Relational Outreach We believe we are called as individuals and as a church to help people to take the next step in their journey toward God. We further believe that outreach best happens in the context of personal relationships. So we are dedicated to helping our people reach out to the people around them. (Matthew 28:18-20, I Corinthians 9:19-23; Acts 1:8) Gift Oriented Ministry We believe God has given each follower of His spiritual gifts that are to be used to minister in the church and in the world. We are dedicated to helping people discover their gifts, passions and personality type in order to help them find their place and style in service. (I Corinthians 12:1-31; Romans 12:1-8; Ephesians 4:1-16; I Peter 4:10) Personal Authenticity We believe God loves us just as we are, but He also loves us enough not to leave us where we are. Therefore, we have no need to pretend to be something we are not and we can admit our faults, fears and flaws. We are dedicated to living authentic lives before God, ourselves and others. (Matthew 5:37; Galatians 6:1-5; Romans 15:7; James 5:16) Cultural Relevance We believe that the eternal message of the great news of Jesus is never changing, but the modes, methods and styles used to communicate that message must change. We dedicate ourselves to removing any cultural barriers that block people from hearing and understanding the great news. (I Corinthians 9:19-23) Biblical Authority We believe God has spoken to us through Jesus Christ and that the Bible is God’s written word to us. Our lives, faith and ministry need to be measured against God’s Word. We dedicate ourselves to the faithful study and application of His Word in our lives. (John 17:14-17; Ephesians 6:17; 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:14-17; Hebrews 4:12) |
